seaside Finolhu for some Mommy-Daughter Beach Time

Our recent mommy & daughter stay at Finolhu Seaside in the Baa Atoll was truly unforgettable. We stayed in a beautiful ocean pool villa with direct views of the sunset, a large private pool, and direct access to the house reef for daily snorkeling adventures. The convenience of stepping right into the ocean and exploring the vibrant marine life was a highlight for both of us. The villa itself offered the perfect blend of luxury and privacy, creating a serene retreat where we could relax and unwind.

Finolhu is a lively and fun resort with plenty of activities to keep guests entertained. One of my daughter's favorite spots was the resort's common pool area, which had a vibrant atmosphere and was great for making new friends. The highlight for her, though, was the large floating obstacle course right off Palm Beach—she couldn't get enough of it! I, on the other hand, fell in love with the resort's famous Crab Shack, where we enjoyed fresh seafood and stunning views of the ocean.

The resort is known for its long sandbank, one of the longest in the Maldives, which offers a perfect spot for peaceful walks or a romantic sunset stroll. It's no wonder Finolhu is named after this unique feature. Nightly entertainment also kept us engaged with live performances, ensuring every evening ended on a high note.

Getting to Finolhu is part of the adventure. Located in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve of Baa Atoll, the resort is accessible via a scenic 30-minute seaplane flight from Malé. The aerial views of the atolls and turquoise lagoons below are simply breathtaking, and they set the perfect tone for the experience that awaits on the island.

Our stay was filled with magical moments, from snorkeling to enjoying sumptuous meals, and the warm and attentive service of the staff made the experience even more special. Finolhu Seaside is truly a gem in the Maldives, offering both family fun and a relaxing escape in one of the most picturesque settings in the world.
